Viscous was done dirty, and the julia has been ruined. It started strong and the jet ep was great! However, it dipped in quality heavily once viscous and julias plot took over. Julia’s character has more involvement and agency in the series compared to the anime, while Vicious is reduced to a stereotypical British villain for the most part.

Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop started the first episode by smartly introducing its setting through an original sequence. The show is more respectful of its source material than other western live-action remakes, but it overdoes it. In fact, it is quite fun, as long as it is not compared to the original 1998 anime.
